Dozens of properties are going under the hammer including a former school, nightclub and even a block of toilets. Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers will be putting forward 174 lots in its first sale of 2025.

Some of the lots have a guide price as low as £2k, while other properties are set to be sold for almost half a million pounds. Some of the lots are in need of a complete renovation due to fire damage or having outdated decor.

There's plenty on offer from first time buyers looking to find and renovate their forever home, property investors and landlords looking to add to their portfolio and even business owners looking for a new shop on the high street.

Auctioneer David Henwood said: “There are a wide variety of lots in our first auction of 2025. They include land and property in Redruth offering a number of possibilities."

Former nightclub, The Office, is one of the properties going under the hammer with a guide price of £210,000. The venue was one of Cornwall's last remaining clubs but closed its doors in July 2023.

Auctioneers said it could remain as a nightclub but it also has planning permission from Cornwall Council for conversion into four flats and associated development, subject to conditions. The fire-damaged former school in St Austell, Carclaze Infants School, is also going under the auctioneer’s gavel with a freehold guide price of £50,000 to £70,000.

The first auction of eight in 2025 by the firm, founded 36 years ago, concludes on February 6, with bidding live from February 4.
